Join an audience-centric game theatre experience and make your mark on a new civilisation!
When the World is Your Enemy is an interactive, live‑action world‑building simulation in which participants are drawn into a volatile mythic system, where civilisations rise and fall under unseen forces, and every choice reshapes the balance of power.
Co-presented and co-produced by WestK Performing Arts and The Drifters@Jing Wong Creations, the participatory game-theatre performance unfolds in a shared space filled with live performance, immersive storytelling, puppetry, real-time game play, projections and interactive game mechanics.
Two roles are available for participation:
Humans (world-building game players) – players who shape new societies by building, competing and collaborating with neighbours.
Gods (trollers with world-changing power) – divine participants from the heavens who deliberate and influence the course of human civilisation as party entertainment.
When the World is Your Enemy explores the creation and fragility of myths, systems and authority. As the unique outcome of each collective performance takes shape and the implications of players’ choices are revealed, the question remains: When power is shared, deferred or unseen, who is truly responsible for the world that emerges?
When the World is Your Enemy will be first presented in the The Room, Freespace in March 2026, before moving to the The Box in the autumn to continue its development.
This programme is jointly presented and produced by WestK Performing Arts and The Drifters@Jing Wong Creations, and is part of the WestK Creator series.
